Neighborhood: Whittier

The Whittier neighborhood of South Minneapolis holds several “treasures” that draw people from the entire metro area into the community to experience them. At the heart of Whittier is Nicollet Avenue, where from Grant Street to Lake Street, Nicollet has been dubbed “Eat Street”. Famous for its abundance of authentic ethnic restaurants, there’s no craving that can’t be satisfied on “Eat Street”. Whittier is also the home to many artists and it’s no wonder since the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Children’s Theater, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design are all located in the neighborhood.

There’s an advantage to living so close to the places you like to visit the most!
