Neighborhood: Longfellow

On Minneapolis’ eastern edge, the Longfellow neighborhood holds abundant assets: the Mississippi River and its parkway; Minnehaha Park with the majestic Minnehaha Falls, and beautiful residential streets with single family homes and apartments. Minneapolis’ light rail Hiawatha corridor, opening in 2003, runs along the west side of the Longfellow community providing easy commutes to Downtown, the MSP Airport, and the Mall of America. The neighborhood also borders the Midtown Greenway, a bicycle only roadway, connecting South Minneapolis, the Chain of Lakes, and the Mississippi River. It’s easy to see why so many people love to live in Longfellow.
